Hi, I'm Dr. Sandra Milling
Welcome to Amare Psychology!
I'm a licensed psychologist working in private practice in the greater Charlotte area. I have been a practicing therapist for more than 10 years. I received my doctoral education from UNC Charlotte where I earned my Clinical Health Psychology doctoral degree. I have devoted my professional life to helping people develop the tools to overcome challenges and adversity and become even stronger in the process.
Through my clinical work, I have learned that individuals who can be compassionate toward their imperfections and even their failings tend to experience greater well-being. As a therapist I help my clients increase their sense of self-worth and confidence so that they can achieve their goals. I founded Amare Psychology with the mission of helping others learn to increase self-compassion by learning the power of self-love. My areas of specialty include the following:
-
Trauma Counseling
-
Self-worth Issues
-
Binge Eating Disorder
-
Body Image Issues/Weight Loss
-
Anxiety
-
Depression
